Case study · Commercial Exterior Cleaning

Industrial cladding cleaned along a full elevation.

Over time, constant exposure to atmospheric moisture, shade, and organic spores had caused a heavy build-up of green algae across the long run of metal cladding. The thick organic film had coated the factory-finished panels, completely dulling the bright, professional appearance of the commercial unit and making the entire building look tired and neglected.

The challenge

What we found.

Bright green algae had spread across the lower half of the profiled cladding along a long elevation, with uneven ground beside the building.

Our approach

The result

A fresh finish.

An even, clean finish along the full length of the building, restoring the original colour of the cladding.

“The unit looks smart again — exactly what we needed before our open day.”

Customer, Burnley

The solution

How we refreshed it.

To safely restore the long elevation, we established a steady workflow across the uneven ground, using extended reach equipment to clean the profiled cladding systematically from top to bottom. A gentle, biocide-based soft-wash solution was applied panel by panel, dissolving the bright green algae without risking water ingress or damage to the factory coating. We then thoroughly rinsed the underlying brick plinth and surrounding footpaths, leaving the entire commercial building looking bright, clean, and professional.

Mapped out hose runs and set up stable access equipment to safely navigate the uneven ground along the elevation.
Cleaned the profiled cladding systematically panel by panel, applying a tailored soft-wash treatment along every ridge.
Rinsed down the brick plinth, base flashings, and immediate ground area to flush away all loosened organic runoff.
Conducted a full elevation inspection to ensure a uniform, streak-free finish across the entire length of the building.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amazing service superb value. And Tom was very tidy and respectful of the grounds, he even moved all the pots and place them back exactly in place. Even made an extra special effort to not damage the grass which was very much appreciated. Thanks Tom a superb job and what a transformation! Would highly recommend! Took him a solid 5 and half hours in strong winds tbf. It looks mega. He even sent me a video of the work which, being as OCD as I am, just can’t stop watching! 🙋🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤣 Thanks Tom and Garry for a brilliant service

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a great experience with this company in September 2026. Communication was easy and prompt, and the team arrived on the agreed date. They did an excellent job cleaning the roof, gutters and surrounding areas—the roof looks almost new!
Although the work took longer than expected, they returned to apply the roof protection and made sure everything was left spotless. The bill matched the quoted price, too. We couldn’t recommend them more highly!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I contacted Lancashire Exterior Cleaning Specialists to arrange a roof clean and originally spoke with Garry. The team came out on Saturday, and I have to say the results speak for themselves — the quality of the work genuinely proves how professional and skilled they are.

Tom attended and was extremely polite, friendly, and professional throughout. He took great care with the job, and the standard of the finish was excellent. The difference after the clean was amazing and clearly showed the effort and attention to detail that went into the work.

The service was reliable, on time, and carried out to a very high standard. I would highly recommend Lancashire Exterior Cleaning Specialists to anyone looking for a professional and trustworthy company. I would happily give more than 5 stars if I could!.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had Tom out to clean my house, conservatory and garage roof, along with all facias and guttering. Could not fault Tom or his service, would definitely recommend these guys to anyone. I’ve had several people out over the years and they topped them all, everything looks brand new again. Would also like to add I have solar panels and no damage was caused, they took great care. Well worth the price!
